Where did the idea for Boost come from?

Meet Holly & Anna!
Holly and Anna are a mother-daughter team of high school math teachers. Both of them are passionately committed to helping students learn and be successful in math and have spent countless hours teaching and tutoring students in all math courses. Teaching math is their day job! Holly is the principal of a private math school in Ottawa, and Anna teaches math in public high school classrooms. The idea for Boost - an online tutorial service tailored specifically for Ontario math courses - came from their desire to help as many math students as possible. They noticed, that although there are resources on the internet for math help, very few are tailored specifically for Ontario students, so they decided to try to fill that gap!

What can you expect from Boost?
We have designed your Boost tutorials to follow the Ontario curriculum - which means the topics that you learn in class, are the same topics that we cover in our tutorials. It doesn't matter if you're in Toronto or Ottawa or Thunder Bay!
We have taken the material covered in Ontario math courses and divided it into individual, easy to understand, lessons. Each lesson has some videos to watch (to help you learn the material), some questions for you to try (to help you practice the material) and some challenging questions for you to think through (to help you master the material) - all with video solutions to walk you through everything step by step!
Each lesson is split into these three sections: Learn It. Practice It. Master It.
We believe this combination of learning, practicing and mastering will help you to Boost your confidence, Boost your understanding and Boost your mark.

A peek at Boost.
Unlimited monthly access to Math Tutorials for less
money than one hour of tutoring!
A subscription to a Boost course costs $29.99 / month (+HST). Many math tutors in Ontario charge more than $30/hour for their services. This means that you can have unlimited access to our entire library of tutorials for an entire month for less money than 1 hour with a math tutor. We think that's a pretty good deal!
Boost can be cancelled at any time with no penalty. Also, we are offering a Money Back Guarantee if you don't find your Boost experience helpful!
Not sure it'll be worth it? Try our 3 FREE LESSONS and see for yourself!

Some FAQs
Can I get my Ontario Math Credit from using Boost? (Is it the same as an online course I might take at a different institution?)
No. We are a tutorial service, not an accredited school that can give out credits. We are here to help you understand the material better so you can be successful wherever you are taking your math credit (either at school, or by correspondence, or through an online school)
Is Boost a replacement to going to class & doing my classwork?
No! Boost is best thought of as a "supplement" to your mathematical learning - something to add to your studying schedule. We absolutely encourage students to continue attending class, working through assigned textbook questions, asking their teacher lots of questions, while turning to Boost for some extra help or clarification.
Can I access my Boost account through multiple devices?
Yes, Boost courses are hosted online, so they can be accessed through many different internet browsers and on many different devices (phone, tablet, mac, PC, etc.)
Do I have to go through the lessons in order?
No. Once you are a subscriber to Boost you will have access to the entire library and are free to navigate to whichever lesson is most relevant to your current learning.
Do I have to sign up for the entire semester?
No. Boost can be signed up for and cancelled at anytime. We like that flexibility, hope you do to!
When do I pay for the Boost monthly subscription?
When you register of a course you are charged a monthly subscription fee on your credit card. On each monthly anniversary of your course registration you will be charged this monthly subscription fee. If you are finished using a Boost course ensure you cancel your subscription before the next monthly anniversary date.
I only see the Grade 12 Advanced Functions course available, do you offer any other math classes?
Other courses are in the works, but currently, we only have Advanced Functions tutorials available. The Grade 12 Calculus & Vectors course will be available in January, 2020.
I have this math question I can't figure out - is there someone I can email to ask it to?
Unfortunately, at Boost, we offer an online tutorial service, not an online tutoring service. We are not available to answer specific math questions. We encourage you to ask friends, teachers or a tutor if you have specific math questions you need help with (or find the appropriate Boost lesson to help you!).
