Can I get my Ontario Math Credit from using Boost? (Is it the same as an online course I might take at a different institution?)
No. We are a tutorial service, not an accredited school that can give out credits. We are here to help you understand the material better so you can be successful wherever you are taking your math credit (either at school, or by correspondence, or through an online school)
Is Boost a replacement to going to class & doing my classwork?
No! Boost is best thought of as a "supplement" to your mathematical learning - something to add to your studying schedule. We absolutely encourage students to continue attending class, working through assigned textbook questions, asking their teacher lots of questions, while turning to Boost for some extra help or clarification.
Can I access my Boost account through multiple devices?
Yes, Boost courses are hosted online, so they can be accessed through many different internet browsers and on many different devices (phone, tablet, mac, PC, etc.)
Do I have to go through the lessons in order?
No. Once you are a subscriber to Boost you will have access to the entire library and are free to navigate to whichever lesson is most relevant to your current learning.
Do I have to sign up for the entire semester?
No. Boost can be signed up for and cancelled at anytime. We like that flexibility, hope you do to!
When do I pay for the Boost monthly subscription?
When you register of a course you are charged a monthly subscription fee on your credit card. On each monthly anniversary of your course registration you will be charged this monthly subscription fee. If you are finished using a Boost course ensure you cancel your subscription before the next monthly anniversary date.
I only see the Grade 12 course available, do you offer any other math classes?
Other courses are in the works, but currently, we only have Advanced Functions and Calculus and Vectors tutorials available.
I have this math question I can't figure out - is there someone I can email to ask it to?
Unfortunately, at Boost, we offer an online tutorial service, not an online tutoring service. We are not available to answer specific math questions. We encourage you to ask friends, teachers or a tutor if you have specific math questions you need help with (or find the appropriate Boost lesson to help you!).
